Active and Retired Military receive Free Admission

 

This night is dedicated to our armed forces. Active and retired military receive free admission to the Country Life Festival on our Military Appreciation Night, July 1st from 4:00pm – 9:00pm. Valid military I.D. required at time of admission. Military I.D. is good for a single admission only, cannot be used for more than one admission.

What would the Fourth of July Celebration be without a fireworks show? After the festival comes to an end on Saturday, July 2nd at 9:00pm, the fireworks display will begin. Come for the festival, stay for the fireworks.

Every 30 min we are giving away a gun

 

every PAID ADULT ADMISSION on Sunday will receive a entry into the Gun Giveaway, 18 to enter. 1st drawing at 11:30am. Winners to pick up from FFL dealer after passing federal background check.

ULTIMATE AIR DOGS SHOW

Do you have an Ultimate Air Dog? If you enter your dog into this fun competition then the answer can be Yes! The philosophy of Ultimate Air Dogs is all about “family”. From the smallest jumper to the biggest Ultimate high flyer, all breeds (mix or purebred) any size (Yorkies to Great Danes) are encouraged... as long as they can swim!

Enjoy an ice cold beer while you explore the Country Life Festival. Sample a Maryland craft beer or a good old fashioned domestic beer. With dozens of beer on tap, you're certain to find one that suits your taste.

MARYLAND TROPHY DEER CONTEST

The Maryland Trophy Deer Contest recognizes the “Top” deer in each county taken during each deer hunting season for the Maryland State Record Book. Highest scoring bucks (typical and non-typical) are recognized for White-tailed deer taken during each of the vertical bow, crossbow, muzzle-loader, and firearms seasons. The Boone and Crockett method of scoring is used. A separate category for Sika and Fallow deer are also available.

Atlantic Waterfowl Calling Competition

Hosted at the Country Life Festival by Red Trail Outdoors. The calling competition is on Saturday only.

DOG DEMOS

Dog trainer Fred Pereni, showcases his retrievers abilities to retrieve on command. Years of training, have resulted in an amazing crowd favorite demonstration. Watch the dogs do what they do best, waterfowl retrieving. Event sponsored by SERVPRO of St. Mary's and Calvert County

BIRDS OF PREY

Since the Bald Eagle is our Nation's symbol, it's only fitting that the "Birds of Prey" display is featured at the Country Life Festival. Clearwater Nature Center's very own captive non-releasable Bald Eagle, Talon, is one of the birds of prey featured.

CHAINSAW CARVING

Watch as master chainsaw carver Billy Sonntag takes ordinary logs and turns them into works of art. Billy has been carving wood and ice for many years, entertaining tens of thousands of people with his talented chainsaw skills. Event sponsored by Real Tree Tree Service.
